How to use
Drag with a mouse or finger inside the picture to select an area. If you need exact proportions, pick a ratio and the box will hold it for you. The result size in pixels is shown below, so there is no guessing.
The format is chosen at save time. PNG keeps transparency and suits logos, JPG is smaller and fine for photographs, WebP compresses best at the same quality. For JPG, transparent areas are filled with white — otherwise they would come out black.

Where is my photo uploaded?
Nowhere. The file is opened and processed inside your browser. That is the point: personal photos, scanned documents and work material should not land on someone else's server.
Does cropping lose quality?
Saving as PNG is lossless. For JPG and WebP the quality slider controls it: 90% is practically indistinguishable from the original, while below 70% artefacts become visible.
Is there a file size limit?
Only your device's memory. Phone photos and ordinary images are instant; files over 8 MB may take a few seconds.
Can I crop a profile picture?
Choose the 1:1 ratio for a clean square, which every social network and messenger accepts.
