How much smaller will my image get?
It depends on the image and quality setting — photos often shrink 60–90% at 70% quality with little visible loss. The tool shows the exact saving before you download.
Does compressing reduce quality?
JPEG and WebP are lossy, so lower quality means a smaller file with more artifacts. Start around 70–80% and lower it until you notice a difference; most web images look fine well below 100%.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything runs in your browser via the Canvas API — the file never leaves your device, which is ideal for private or confidential images.
What formats are supported?
Input: JPG, PNG, WebP and most browser-supported formats. Output: JPEG or WebP, which usually give much smaller files than PNG.
