How to use
Set the start and end date and press “Calculate”. The start day is excluded and the end day is included — the standard convention for deadlines and contracts: from Jan 1 to Jan 2 is one day.
Typical uses: counting days until a deadline or vacation, invoice payment terms, ages and anniversaries, pregnancy weeks, or how long a project has been running. Business days are counted as Monday–Friday, public holidays excluded.
FAQ
Are the start and end dates included in the count?
The start date is excluded, the end date is included — so from the 10th to the 11th is 1 day. If your use case needs both endpoints counted (hotel nights quoted “inclusive”), add 1 to the result.
How are business days calculated?
The tool counts Mondays through Fridays within the range. Public holidays are not subtracted — they differ by country and year, so check a local holiday calendar for payroll-grade accuracy.
Why is the months breakdown approximate?
Months have 28–31 days, so “years, months, days” is computed calendar-style: whole years first, then whole months, with the remainder shown in days.
Can I count days until a future event?
Yes — put today in the first field and the event date in the second. Handy for countdowns to launches, exams, weddings or holidays.
