How to use
Once you choose a file the tool shows how many pages it holds. Three options follow. Extract collects the pages you name into one new file — numbers separated by commas, ranges with a dash: 1-3, 5, 8-10. Every page makes a separate file from each one. Parts of N cuts the document into equal chunks.
Splitting into single pages is what you want when one sheet from a larger scan has to go to someone and the rest must not. Cutting into parts solves the email problem, where a service refuses attachments over a certain size.
FAQ
How do I write page numbers?
With commas and dashes: 1-3, 5, 8-10 takes pages one through three, page five, and eight through ten. Order does not matter, and duplicates or numbers beyond the document are dropped automatically.
Why does my browser ask about multiple downloads?
When splitting into separate files each one is saved individually, and the browser asks you to confirm a group download. Allow it and every part lands in your downloads folder.
Is the file uploaded to a server?
No. Splitting happens in your browser and the document goes nowhere.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not until the password is removed. The tool will tell you if the file is encrypted.
